Paul is a seasoned employment law attorney with over 30 years of litigation experience. He has represented both employers and employees in a wide range of employment-related disputes, including claims involving discrimination (based on physical and mental disability, gender, sex, sexual orientation, age, race, pregnancy, and national origin), harassment, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, wage theft, class actions, and California’s Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA).
Paul's clients span a diverse array of industries, such as healthcare, manufacturing, technology, banking, real estate, property management, education, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, transportation, engineering, mining, retail, hospitality, entertainment, and food service. He is an accomplished trial attorney, having served as lead counsel in numerous jury trials and represented clients in both state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration. In recognition of his trial expertise, he was invited to join the American Board of Trial Advocates in 2016.
Paul brings his extensive employment law background to mediation. He has completed formal mediation training through the Loyola Law School Center for Conflict Resolution and Pepperdine University’s renowned Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. He also serves as a volunteer settlement officer in the Resolve Law LA settlement program, conducting pro bono mediations in employment law cases filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Paul is a founding partner of Gleason & Favarote LLP, which he co-established in 2006. His prior experience includes practicing at prominent firms such as Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison LLP—where he became a partner in 1998—and serving as a founding shareholder of the Los Angeles office of Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, LLC.
He earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in 1991 and his Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Long Beach in 1986.
